الحكاية هي لشقيقين فُرض عليهما أن يكونا لصّين، فقانون المدينة كان يفرض على كل مواطن أن يعمل في نفس مهنة أبيه، ووالد الشقيقين لص كما كان أبوه من قبله، إلا أن نضال الشقيقين ضد هذا الواقع يثمر في دعم القيم النبيلة التي تدين كلَّ أشكال السرقة. ويمتاز أحد الشقيقين بذكاء خارق، يستخدمه في نهاية المطاف لمصلحة وطنه وأهله، حينما يتمكَّن من تغيير قانون المدينة وإلغائه.
The story is of two brothers who were required to be thieves, so the city law required every citizen to work in the same profession as his father, and the father of the two brothers was a thief as his father was before him, but the struggle of the two brothers against this reality results in supporting the noble values that condemn all forms of theft. One of the two brothers is distinguished by an extraordinary intelligence, which he ultimately uses for the benefit of his country and his people, when he is able to change and abolish the city’s law.
