عادتِ البنتُ مِنَ السُّوقِ ومعها ملابسُ العيدِ الّتي حَلَمَتْ بها. الفرحةُ غمرَتْها، فراحتْ تقيسُ فستانَها الجديد وتراقبُ الحذاءَ لِترى إنْ كانَ يليقُ به. خافتِ الأمُّ أنْ يتجعلكَ الفستان، أخذتْهُ وعلَّقتْهُ في خزانَتِها. استسلمتِ البنتُ، واندسَّتْ في فراشِها، وهناك كانتِ المفاجأةُ، لا يزالُ لديها ما يفرحُها!

 The girl returned from the market with the Eid clothes that she had dreamed of. She was overjoyed, so she measured her new dress and watched the shoes to see if they fit. The mother, dreading that the dress would wrinkle, took it and hung it in her closet. The girl gave up, slipped into her bed, and there was the surprise, she still had something to make her happy!
